Avi Rosenthal is Managing Partner at BlueConnect Partners and a connected technology executive with more than 25 years of experience spanning IoT, smart home, consumer electronics, and professional systems integration. His career has covered the full product lifecycle, from identifying market opportunities and developing connected products to manufacturing, channel development, strategic partnerships, and commercialization. At BlueConnect, Avi works with startups, established brands, manufacturers, and technology companies to turn ideas into practical products and scalable businesses. He also serves as Chairman of the Z-Wave Alliance and is active in industry policy and standards, giving clients a perspective that combines hands-on operating experience with a broad view of the connected technology ecosystem.
Avi began his career in information technology and consumer electronics before founding HomeWorks Automation, a residential systems integration company that grew to more than $3 million in annual sales and completed thousands of installations. He later held leadership roles with Legrand, Superna, Evolve Guest Controls, and Nortek Security & Control, where he led product, sales, marketing, manufacturing, and OEM initiatives. His work has included connected product development, international manufacturing, dealer and integrator networks, and large-scale deployments.
Avi works from the practical side of the business, combining market knowledge with the realities of product development, manufacturing, distribution, installation, and customer adoption. He tends to move quickly from a strategic question to the people, products, costs, partners, and decisions required to make an opportunity real. His perspective comes from having worked on both sides of the table, as an integrator and as an executive at manufacturers and technology companies, allowing him to connect ideas with execution.
Outside of work, Avi enjoys traveling, exploring food and restaurants, cars and motorsports, and following Formula One. He is particularly interested in experiencing new cities through their local culture, technology, and food, and he enjoys the intersection of technology and real-world experiences. He is also an avid New York Yankees fan and follows the evolution of automotive and connected technologies closely.
